Celebration turned to turmoil as two bombs struck a Boston marathon earlier today. From what we’ve heard, at least 100 people are being treated in hospitals; out of them there are 8 in critical condition, 14 in serious condition, and 2 have been pronounced dead.
Although there are no suspects or reasons as to why this happened it has been dubbed a terrorist attack. President Obama vowed, “Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice.” Investigators searching the premises have found 2 small bomb about 50-100 yards apart. They tested negative C-4 or other high grade materials, insinuating that the bombs were crude explosive devices.
Here at CC we’re sending condolences and good vibes to the people and families affected by this tragedy, and we hope that the culprits who committed this senseless crime be brought to justice.
After a 12 year run of amazing lyrics and cures for teenage angst, My Chemical Romance has called it quits. They announced this news on their website on Friday in a brief statement saying:
“Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We’ve gotten to go places we never knew we would. We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We’ve shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.”
My Chemical Romance.
There wasn’t any band related squabble which was the best part of this news. It’s simply time to move on to bigger and better things. The lead vocalist Gerard Way just recently did a mashup with EDM favorite Deadmau5.
“I’m Not Okay” was one of their best singles and is definitely a song we can’t stop listening to because, the fact that MCR is over is devastating and simply not okay. Since we can’t do anything about it, we’re just gonna drown our sadness with their music. Hopefully in the future we’ll be seeing more of their individual works.

Meet 8 year old Sanele Masilela who just tied the knot with 61 year old, mom of five, Helen Shabangu.
The bride and groom traded rings and locked lips in front of about 100 guests. The reason for this arrangement was because it was his deceased relatives wishes. In fear of bad energy coming onto the family they proceeded as soon as possible. In reports Sanele said he chose Helen because he loves her.
Even though $2,000 was spent on the wedding, vows were said, and then some. Helen and Sanele didn’t sign a marriage certificate and they don’t live with each other. So even though this ritual is official, it’s not legally binding.
Its out of the ordinary but we give our best wishes to the spouses.

Times are hard for the average American these days. So finding the newest fashionable items can be a strain on your bank account. When it comes to the latest fashions I’ve always wondered this: Why buy a 300$ shirt from some top designer when you can find the same shirt from a lesser known brand for a reasonable price? If there’s one thing I’ve learned about commerce is that even if its from a designer label, you can ALWAYS find the same thing for a cheaper price. The other day I went on a bit of a fashion haul to show you what I mean. From cross leggings to spiked headbands, take a look at the items I bought and the comparisons I’ve used from some well known retailers.
Cross leggings: I got theses nifty things from a local store called TParty for 15.00$
Compare at: houseoffraser.co.uk at 23.40$ (was 39.00$) after the sale discount.
Skull Blouse: This is an item that was none of the ultimate steals. I bought this at Ross for 10$!
Compare at: Nastygal.com at 43$. Can you see the big picture?
Spiked headband: I have a strange obsession with spiked stuff. This headband I got at a store called Hottie is so me. Not only that it was only 7.99!
Compare at: Topshop’s blush spiked headband at 25$.
50’s Vintage Cat Eye Sunglasses: an excellent find for only 5.99$
Compare at: shoplesnouvelles.com’s Norma Kamali Square Cat Eye Sunglasses at 98.00$
You see. Bigger buy for your buck. I spent less than 50$ for items that would have cost hundreds somewhere else. Don’t let the recession get you down, there’s a new bargain hunter in town!
